Why Amniotic Tissue?

The use of amniotic membrane as a wound covering has been documented in clinical practice for over 110 years, with more than 100 publications highlighting its various potential benefits. Amniotic membrane contains essential growth factors and offers a natural human tissue scaffold, which, according to published literature, provides numerous advantages as a wound covering. It is widely utilized as a biological covering in a broad range of surgical and wound care applications.

Donor Selection & Screening

All donors are required to meet strict acceptance criteria and undergo a comprehensive evaluation by the Medical Director. This includes an interview with the donor’s next of kin and a thorough review of all relevant medical records. Each donor is subjected to an intensive screening process, including serological testing, to ensure patient safety. Donors are individually assessed to verify the absence of any disqualifying conditions. All screening and eligibility protocols comply with FDA 21 CFR 1271 regulations and adhere to the standards set by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) for each HCT/P product type.

Patient Reassurance Program

The Patient Reassurance Program provides statement credit for the patient when a patient claim is denied after receiving a positive coverage response from the Stability Biologics Reimbursement Hotline. The intention of this program is to provide assistance to patients such that they will not be charged for grafts that have gone through the Stability Biologics Hotline Reassurance program but are subsequently denied payment through CMS or their insurance. This reimbursement will only be for the value of the implanted graft and may be provided to cover a patients bill for that graft or on behalf of the patient in the form of a credit to the Physician Clinic/Hospital Outpatient Clinic.
